Wound
Manufactured from various medias, core types, lengths, O.D.'s, and end configurations. Lengths above 10" are continuous wind which prevent by-pass. To increase filtration efficiency, we utilize compound winding i.e., 10 micron inner wind and 50 micron outer wind. This allows greater depth filtration for greater dirt loading and life.

JFPI manufactures three types of activated carbon filters. Paper, for greater surface area, granular, and block types for areas that require greater absortion. Activated carbon works by absorbing inorganic chemicals. Activated carbon works very well in removing tastes and odors, and for removing discoloration.
