Fiberglass Filter Cartridges

Filter Description

A manufactured fiber in which the fiberforming substance is glass, extruded at 2500 degrees F. JFPI manufactures (2) types of fiberglass; fiberglass (G), and heat treated (GH) which is used in applications above 400 degrees F, the finish is baked off to prevent finish from liquefying and going downstream into solution.

Effects

Effects of Acids/Alkalis

Excellent compatibility with organic acids, mineral acids, oxidizing agents and organic solvents. Poor compatibility with alkalis. Excellent resistance to micro-organisms.

Maximum Temperature

Polypropylene Cores – 200°F/93°C
Tin Plated Steel Cores – 400°F/204°C
304 & 316 Stainless Steel Cores – 750°F/398°C
